Adama Sunshine has always a sharp eye for global political ills. Even today, he dislikes the tenacity of the ruling politicians, who, after years and decades, are losing more and more contact with the people. With the hope in his luggage that he would be exposed to less arbitrariness and craziness outside of the Ivory Coast, he traveled to Germany.

Here Adama has been working as an offset printer for over 20 years and studied at the Max Reger Music School at the same time to give his musical talent an education.

In 2007 he became self-employed as a musician and songwriter and founded the band "The Sunshine Reggae".

Together with his daughters Kadija and Lindsey, Adama Sunshine released his first album "La Retraite Volée de mon Père" in 2010 under Adama and Kids. The second album "Maman Kone Karidja" followed in 2012.

In 2016 Adama Sunshine released his first solo album "Rebel Man". Many performances and contacts ensured that Adama Sunshine had found his own musical style. Behind the usual cheerful songs with Afro-Reggae Roots flair, there are messages of equality, justice, respect and love. Just like reggae should be.

The new Album "Censure" will be released in January 2023. This album is Adama Sunshine's most personal album, as it is an inner reappraisal of the French colonialhistory and the associated injustices against people.
